Rolex Sky-Dweller in Everose Gold

Rolex Sky-Dweller Ref. 326935-0007 - Mamic 1970

An elegant watch for world travellers, the Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller Ref. 326935, in 18 ct Everose gold is a compelling timepiece of revolutionary design.

OYSTER PERPETUAL SKY-DWELLER IN EVEROSE GOLD

Rolex is introducing the Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller, with reference number 326935, its classic watch for world travellers, in 18 ct Everose gold and intense white, chocolate or slate grey dial. The dial feature rectangular index hour markers and longer hands, as well as a Chromalight display with long-lasting luminescence, which enhances legibility.

A technological masterpiece, the Sky-Dweller provides, in an unprecedented and highly original way, the information global travellers need to easily keep track of time.

EVEROSE GOLD

Rolex gold is like no other. It is made of only the purest metals, meticulously inspected in an in-house laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment. These metals are alloyed by fusion in a crucible at over 1,000 °C, according to closely guarded formulas to produce the 18 ct yellow, white and Everose gold alloys specific to Rolex.

To preserve the beauty of its pink gold watches, Rolex created and patented a new alloy that it casts in its own foundry: Everose gold, which owes its unique colour – a pink hue unlike any other – to its composition. Introduced in 2005, it is used on all Rolex pink gold watches, as well as on a special blend of materials, the Everose Rolesor.

A WEALTH OF EXPERTISE

An elegant watch for frequent travellers, the Sky-Dweller displays the time in two time zones simultaneously and has an annual calendar. The reference time, in 24-hour format, is shown via an off-centre disc, and the local time is read using conventional centre hands. The annual calendar, named Saros, automatically differentiates between 30- and 31-day months. It is operated by a patented mechanism and stands out for its innovative display: the months of the year are indicated in 12 apertures around the circumference of the dial, with the current month marked in red. The instantaneous date change is linked to the local time.

The disc’s 24-hour display allows travellers to clearly distinguish daytime hours from night-time hours in the distant time zone.

CHROMALIGHT DISPLAY

The dial’s luminescent Chromalight display is an innovation that improves visibility in dark environments. The Sky-Dweller features a Chromalight display: the hands and hour markers are coated or filled with a luminescent material that emits a long-lasting blue glow in dark conditions.

9001 MOVEMENT

The Sky-Dweller Ref. 326935 is equipped with calibre 9001, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Protected by seven patents, it is one of the most complex calibres ever developed by the brand. Its architecture, manufacturing quality and innovative features make it singularly precise and reliable.

Calibre 9001 offers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours.

SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER CERTIFICATION

Like all Rolex watches, each Sky-Dweller is  covered by the Superlative Chronometer certification redefined by Rolex in 2015. This exclusive designation testifies that every watch leaving the brand’s workshops has successfully undergone a series of tests conducted by Rolex in its own laboratories according to its own criteria. These certification tests apply to the fully assembled watch, after casing the movement, guaranteeing superlative performance on the wrist in terms of precision, power reserve, waterproofness and self-winding. The precision of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer is of the order of −2/+2 seconds per day, or more than twice that required of an official chronometer.

The Superlative Chronometer status is symbolized by the green seal that comes with every Rolex watch and is coupled with an international five-year guarantee.
