NEW ROLEX WATCHES 2021
Rolex is presenting the latest creations brought to life by its unique watchmaking expertise. These timepieces take us from the deepest caves to the highest mountain peaks, from the outer reaches of the solar system to isolated polar regions and from ultra-precise technology to exacting artisanal craftsmanship. They are watches that invite you on an adventure – be it geographical, technical or aesthetic.
OYSTER PERPETUAL EXPLORER
Rolex is presenting its new-generation Oyster Perpetual Explorer. At 36 mm, it returns to the size of the original model launched in 1953 following the first ascent to the summit of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on 29 May that year.
The new-generation Explorer is notably released in a yellow Rolesor version, combining Oystersteel and 18 ct yellow gold. The black dial, now lacquered, bears the index hour markers and emblematic 3, 6 and 9 numerals that are the cornerstones of the model’s personality, evoking the determination and spirit of adventure that give rise to great achievements.
The new-generation Explorer’s Chromalight display is particularly impressive. In dark conditions, the intensity of the blue glow emitted by the hour markers and hands now lasts longer thanks to the innovative and exclusive luminescent material with which they are filled or coated.
The new-generation Explorer is now available in two materials, Oystersteel and yellow Rolesor, and equipped with calibre 3230, a movement at the forefront of watchmaking technology.
OYSTER PERPETUAL EXPLORER II
Rolex is introducing its new-generation Oyster Perpetual Explorer II. This technical watch, in Oystersteel, was created for the boldest explorers and now features a redesigned case and bracelet.
On the white lacquer dial, the hour markers – whose black coating is applied using PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) – and the black lacquer hour, minute and seconds hands stand out for their matt finish. The 24-hour hand retains its characteristic orange hue, which is the same colour as the Explorer II inscription that has featured on the dial since 2011. The new-generation Explorer II also benefits from an optimized Chromalight display.
This redesigned watch is available in two dial versions, in white color and black color, and equipped with calibre 3285, a movement at the forefront of watchmaking technology.
EXCLUSIVE DIALS WITH UNIQUE DESIGNS
Rolex is presenting the latest creations brought to life by its unique watchmaking expertise. Among these, new versions of the Datejust 31, Datejust 36, Cosmograph Daytona and the Day-Date models showcase refined and original dials.
OYSTER PERPETUAL DATEJUST 31
With its diverse selection of dials, the Datejust 31 line, which was redesigned in 2021, introduced a new bright blue color.
OYSTER PERPETUAL DATEJUST 36
Rolex is also introducing four new versions of its Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 featuring new ‘palm’ and ‘fluted’ dial motifs. The palm motif evokes lush, vibrant tropical forests, while the fluted motif showcases the pattern found on a range of Rolex bezels that has become one of the brand’s signature aesthetic styles.
The palm motif can be seen on three of the new watches. On the first, in Oystersteel and equipped with an Oyster bracelet, the pattern is present on an olive green dial. It also decorates the golden dial of the second watch, a yellow Rolesor version, combining Oystersteel and 18 ct yellow gold, fitted with an Oyster bracelet, and the silver dial of the third watch, an Everose Rolesor version, combining Oystersteel and 18 ct Everose gold, on a Jubilee bracelet.
The fluted motif is found on the golden dial of the final watch – another yellow Rolesor version – this time with a Jubilee bracelet. This dial version is also available in blue and grey color.
The Rolex Datejust 36 range also introduced the Slate dial, which has been specially available to the size Datejust 41, and which is now available in all three versions of Rolesor.
OYSTER PERPETUAL DAY-DATE
The new dials adorn the prestigious Day-Date line, in both sizes, 36 and 40. Sparkling ornaments, such as diamonds and unusual lines and materials, have enriched these recognisable luxury models.
OYSTER PERPETUAL COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA
The new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona are in 18 ct yellow, white or Everose gold. Their meteorite dials bear witness to energy that has journeyed through time and space. This material displays patterns that were formed as the heart of an asteroid cooled slowly on its journey through the cosmos – a process that takes millions of years.
Rolex selects metallic meteorite according to very strict aesthetic criteria. Each fragment has a unique internal structure, making every Cosmograph Daytona with a meteorite dial truly one of a kind.
The new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona include new dials with diamonds as hour markers, and a new Sundust dial on models in 18 ct Everose gold.
REVEALING THE RADIANCE OF DIAMONDS
Rolex is presenting the latest creations brought to life by its unique watchmaking expertise. Among these are new versions of the Day-Date 36 and the Lady-Datejust, adorned with sparkling diamonds.
The new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 feature hour markers and alligator leather straps in matching colours. They are coralcoloured on the 18 ct yellow gold model, turquoise on the 18 ct white gold version and burgundy on the watch in 18 ct Everose gold. With these watches, the prestigious and iconic Day-Date 36 is reimagined in swathes of diamonds.
The new Oyster Perpetual Lady-Datejust, set with 1,089 diamonds on the middle case, bezel, dial and President bracelet, is an exceptional watch whose brilliance and sparkle is perfectly suited to a slender wrist.
OYSTER PERPETUAL SKY-DWELLER
A recognizable watch for tracking time around the world, the Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller to its range welcomes the Jubilee bracelet, which is known for its five-piece links and comfort, to its Rolesor versions.
OYSTER PERPETUAL GMT-MASTER II
A cosmopolitan watch, popular for its functions but also for its distinctive look, the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II, to its references 126710BLNR and 126710BLRO, has re-joined the Oyster bracelet that adorned that model until 2018, when it was replaced by the Jubilee bracelet.
Through our watch service, for models to which new bracelets have been added, it is possible to order an Oyster or Jubilee bracelet in case you would like to replace them.
