Rolex Datejust 36 Ref. 126233

Rolex Jubilee Bracelet - Mamic 1970

The Rolex Datejust 36 Ref. 126233 in Oystersteel and 18 ct yellow gold, 36 mm case, champagne-colour dial set with diamonds, Jubilee bracelet.

CHAMPAGNE-COLOUR DIAL

The dial is the distinctive face of a Rolex watch, the feature most responsible for its identity and readability. Characterised by hour markers fashioned from 18 ct gold to prevent tarnishing, every Rolex dial is designed and manufactured in-house, largely by hand to ensure perfection.

Rolex uses only the finest precious stones to adorn its watches: diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. The criteria and protocol for selecting these gems, which are always natural stones, are exceptionally demanding. Each gemstone is closely examined by the in-house gemmology department, which ensures strict compliance with the specifications defined by the brand. In terms of clarity, Rolex selects only the most translucent natural gemstones according to the highest standards. For diamonds, IF (Internally Flawless) stones alone are accepted – those in the highest category of the grading scales generally used in gemmology.

Rolex Datejust 36 Ref. 126233 features champagne-colour dial with diamond hour markers.

ROLESOR, A MARRIAGE BETWEEN STEEL AND GOLD

Rolesor, the combination of gold and steel on a Rolex watch, has been a signature feature of the brand since 1933, when the name was registered. It is an auspicious meeting of two metals: one, noble and precious, attractive for its lustre and stability; the other, highly resistant, known for its strength and reliability. All of these qualities perfectly mirror the elegance and performance that come together in a Rolex watch. The yellow Rolesor concept is simple: the bezel, the winding crown, as well as the centre bracelet links are made of 18 ct yellow gold; the middle case and the outer links of the bracelet are made of 904L steel. Introduced on the Datejust in 1948, Rolesor contributed largely to the legendary status of this wristwatch.

Rolesor is the combination of two metals: noble and precious gold, attractive for its lustre and stability; and steel known for its resistance to corrosion, ensures strength and reliability.

JUBILEE BRACELET

Ergonomics of Rolex watches are carefully studied, while their robustness and reliability, their aesthetics and lustre are all inherent to the personality of the timepiece. Meticulous care and attention have been given to the design of Rolex bracelets and clasps. Function and form blend so that the features offered by each model embody Rolex aesthetic codes. Five-piece link Jubilee bracelet was designed specially for the launch of the Oyster Perpetual Datejust in 1945. Rolex Datejust 41 is fitted also with Oyster bracelet and comes with Oysterclasp.

This version of the Datejust 36 is fitted with a supple and comfortable five-piece link Jubilee bracelet.

3235 MOVEMENT

Datejust 36 Ref. 126233 is equipped with a new generation movement, calibre 3235, entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex for a superlative level of performance. Certified as a Swiss chronometer by COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute), it is tested a second time by Rolex after being cased to ensure that in everyday use it satisfies Rolex’s criteria for precision, which are twice as exacting as those for an officially certified chronometer. This control of the final precision of the assembled watch is carried out using a methodology and high-technology equipment specially developed by Rolex.

Calibre 3235 offers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.

SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER CERTIFICATION

Like all Rolex watches, each Datejust is covered by the Superlative Chronometer certification redefined by Rolex in 2015. This exclusive designation testifies that every watch leaving the brand’s workshops has successfully undergone a series of tests conducted by Rolex in its own laboratories according to its own criteria. These certification tests apply to the fully assembled watch, after casing the movement, guaranteeing superlative performance on the wrist in terms of precision, power reserve, waterproofness and self-winding. The precision of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer is of the order of −2/+2 seconds per day, or more than twice that required of an official chronometer.

The Superlative Chronometer status is symbolized by the green seal that comes with every Rolex watch and is coupled with an international five-year guarantee.
