We are proud to present you the novelties in our offer that come from the hearts of the fashion representatives, France and Italy. Timeless pieces of luxury diamond jewelry Chaumet, Damiani and Messika are now available at our boutique Mamic 1970 in 7 Frane Petrica Street in the centre of Zagreb. Each piece of jewelry is crafted to the highest standards of the profession by presenting diamonds in the most stunning manner, from timeless collections to dynamic and thrilling ones.

Valérie Messika was predestined to work with diamonds. From her earliest childhood, she listened to the fascinating stories told by her father André Messika. This key player in the international diamond trade for the last 40 years took her along with him on his travels, seeking out exceptional gems.

Valérie Messika inherited this passion. She decided to devote herself to the diamond while following her own path. Instinctively, every diamond inspired a design or an idea. This thrill lay in the setting she imagined when seeing the stone. Forms, patterns and techniques reign supreme, but they are only chosen to highlight the unique character of the diamond, its quality, size and brilliance.

In 2005 Valérie Messika created her eponymous brand transforming diamonds into jewelry and embracing excellence.

A passion for diamonds inherited from father to daughter.

Valérie Messika has developed the “modern femininity” concept. Women today can choose to be what they want to be: cool, retro, punk, conservative, powerful, passionate, discreet, extraverted, masculine, feminine, classic or ultra-fashionable or all that at once. The Maison Messika sees women as the most inspiring muses. Sensuality, femininity, desire are the words that serve as the mantra of Messika jewelry.

Messika pieces are jewelry with character, reflecting the designer’s own femininity and modernity, and Messika creations are admired by the most influential women in the world, women respected for their talent and personality. Between 2017 and 2018, the House collaborated with Gigi Hadid, the highly regarded global supermodel, with whom the House co-designed two capsule collections. For 2019, Valérie Messika goes further with, not 1 but 3 muses: Kate Moss, Joan Smalls and Sylvia Hoeks.

Kate Moss is a passionate jewelry collector, she combines different styles, inspirations and eras, as evidenced by her eclectic wardrobe. Together, Valerie Messika and Kate Moss have risen to the challenge of designing a unique collection, by combining the legendary style of a fashion icon and the diamond expertise of Valérie. Young aesthetics, a sense of classic with a modern twist and the comfort provided by prestigious Messika jewelry are the main reasons why Kate Moss loves to combine this diamond jewelry in her everyday rock’n’roll look.

“Kate Moss is an icon in the fashion industry. She symbolizes everything I love – edgy, bold, daring, a woman.”

Messika is proud of its unique Atelier, a space bathed in soft natural light. Jewelers, setters, polishers and virtuoso artisans apply their talent and experience to create exceptional pieces. In this reserved era of the made-to-measure, jewelry is brought to life for the first time. A secret fascinating world where technique gradually fades into the background to provide space for beauty.

The ultra-confidential world of high jewelry is supported by valuable ancestral craftsmanship. Valérie Messika has successfully entered this exclusive domain, launching a Maison which brims with technical innovation with ease, tradition and modernity.

The transition from the creative idea to reality is a path that is rarely clear or mapped out in advance. This process involves multiple conversations and much research and deliberation with the workshop. Having produced a variety of models, the jeweler then constructs the various elements which will form the structure of the jewel (springs, stones, settings and more). In all her designs Valérie Messika aims to create a sense of volume, movement, and sensual fluidity and, at the same time, maintain ergonomic comfort.

“A jewel has to stay in place. Our cuff is made to fit everyone perfectly. Women should forget they’re wearing expensive jewels; they must be able to move naturally, walk, dance, run, work.”

Just two years after the brand was founded, the Maison Messika presented signature collection Move, which quickly became planetary popular. It is characterised by three movable diamonds inside the cage that appears in the lines of Move Classique, Move 10th, Move Noa, Move Romane and Lucky Move. The Move Uno collection has one diamond floating in a cage. Messika features a complete turn in design in the bold jewelry creations of the Glam’azone range that imbues exotic and feminine style for a sensual and confident woman. Another collection of unique and recognisable designs is Lucky Eye, a range of diamond talismans that attract positive energy. The romantic message is hidden in the perfect alliance of the elegant emerald cut and the sensual pear cut with dazzling pieces of jewelry from the My Twin collection.
